The module is intended for stores where one brand has several product lines (series/collections). After installation, line management appears in the admin panel, where you can:
- link the line to the manufacturer;
- set the name, description and image of the line;
- set up SEO URL;
- fill out meta title, meta h1, meta description, meta keywords;
- enable/disable indexing for the line page.
On the storefront, the module adds:
- page for a list of lines by brand (route: product/line, SEO alias for setting up the module);
- line page with products (route: product/line/info&line_id=...);
- sorting, pagination and limits on the output of line products.
SEO and indexing:
- for each line there is an “Indexation” switch;
- when disabledindexing for the line is set to noindex,follow;
- the sort/order/page/limit parameters can be set to noindex,follow according to the store settings.
Usage Examples
1. Electronics:
Xiaomi → Redmi / POCO / Mi
The buyer first selects the brand, then the desired line.
2. Cosmetics:
L’Oréal → Elseve / Professionnel
For each line, you can make a separate SEO URL and description.
3. Auto products:
Castrol → EDGE / MAGNATEC / GTX
The navigation and structure of the brand page is simplified.
Quick guide
1. Install the OCMOD module package for your OpenCart 3 build (for example, `lines-default-oc3.ocmod.zip` or `lines-livestore-oc3.ocmod.zip`).
2. Update the modifiers: “Add-ons” → “Modifiers” → “Update”.
3. Open the module“Brand Lines” in “Extensions” → “Modules”, enable the status and save the settings.
4. Specify the SEO URL of the list of lines (the default can be `lines`).
5. Users - User groups, grant permissions
6. Go to the line management section (Line Catalog) and create lines for the required manufacturers.
7. For each line, fill out the SEO fields, description and indexing settings.
8. Check the showcase: line list page and individual line pages.
