Video Sitemap for Products

The module automatically generates Video Sitemap for OpenCart products, which allows the search engines Google and Yandex to correctly find, index and display videos from product cards in search results.
Video Sitemap is the official video sitemap format used by Google to define video content on pages. Without such a sitemap, product videos are often not indexed or completely ignored by search engines.
The module generates an XML sitemap only for those products that actually have a video.

This module works only in conjunction with the module Generating a video for a product

All the necessary data for the video sitemap is added to the sitemap:

• product page
• preview (the main picture of the product is taken)
• video title
• video description (the first 350 characters are taken from the product card)
• link to video file
• video duration

Sitemap generation occurs automatically and is suitable for large directories.

Installation instructions:

• Install the archive art_video_sitemap_3.x.ocmod.zip via the standard add-on manager;
• Then go to extensions->promotion channels and find “A-Sitemap for video” activate it;
• Go to the module settings and customize it for yourself;
• Add a link to your sitemap in Google Search Console andYandex Webmaster
