The module automatically generates a coupon for the customer's next purchase.
Features:
Configure standard coupon parameters
Configure additional coupon parameters: Number of characters in the coupon code, Allowed characters, Coupon validity period
Automatically generate a coupon based on configured parameters when an order is marked as completed
Send a coupon to the customer's email
Installation:
1. Log in to your online store's admin panel.
2. In the Modules/Extensions tab, select Install extensions.
3. Click the Upload button and select the auto_coupon.ocmod.zip archive.
4. Go to the Modules/Extensions tab - Modules/Extensions.
5. Select the extension type from the drop-down list - Modules.
6. In the list of modules, find[AppDevStudio]Automatic coupon for next purchase.
7. Click the Edit button next to[AppDevStudio]Automatic coupon for next purchase, fill out the settings, and click Save.
8. Go to the Modules/Extensions - Modifiers tab and update the modifiers.
Information about how the module works:
The coupon is not generated immediately after placing an order, but only when you (the manager or admin) complete the order. The list of completed statuses is located in the standard OpenCart settings under "System / Settings" on the "Options" tab in the "Completed order status" field. By default, these statuses are "Delivered" and "Transaction completed."
If you change an order's status after completing it, and then back to completed, the coupon won't be regenerated, but the information about it will be resent to the buyer via email.
If you want to change the coupon, for example, by adding any restrictions or parameters, you can either edit it manually (the buyer won't be notified) or change the module settings, delete the coupon for the desired order, then change the order to any status except completed, and then change it back to completed. In this case, the coupon will be regenerated.
The module uses a standard template and coupon saving method, so if you've made any modifications to it, they should also be applied to the automatic coupon generation.
The module doesn't replace the standard files.
