Recommended categories

The module adds a block with recommended categories to the product page - as simple as “Recommended Products”, only instead of products the buyer is offered catalog sections.

The product card often turns out to be a dead end page. The standard “Recommended Products” block shows only adjacent items, and adjacent sections of the catalog remain invisible to the buyer.

The module displays the “Recommended Categories” block on the product page and turns the card into an entry point into related sections: the buyer with one click goes to where related items are collected. This increases the depth of catalog browsing and works to increase the average check.

The block title is set in the settings - it can be renamed to suit your store and translated into each language of the storefront.Features 

1. Linking categories to product

In the product card (the “Connections” tab), the “Recommended Categories” field appears with auto-filling - it works exactly the same as the usual “Recommended Products” field. 
Start typing the category name, select from the list, save the product.

2. Bulk addition

There is no need to open each product manually. Select a source category (for example, “Pipes”) and indicate which categories to recommend for all of its products (“Fittings,” “Thermal Insulation”). One click and links are created for hundreds of products.

3. Flexible output settings

• enable/disable the module;
• limit the number of categories in a block (0 - no limit);
• show category image or title only;
• arbitrary image sizes (width and height);
• block header - separate for each store language.

Features

• The kernel is not editable. All changes are made through OCMOD, OpenCart files remain untouched. The module gets along correctly with others extensions.
• Your own link table is created automatically during installation. When you remove a module, the data is saved - reinstallation will not lead to loss of work done.
• Multilingual. The block title is set separately for each store language; category names are adjusted in the language of the storefront.
• Neat conclusion. Disabled categories and categories that are not available in the current store do not fall into the block.
