Characteristics/attributes for categories and in the OC3 catalog

The module allows you to display sets of product characteristics/attributes in cards in the catalog and modules, specifying different sets for each category.

This is an advanced version of the module Main attribute

Features:

• Filling in the characteristics for each category (by analogy with products), including their values.
• Indicating the display status of the product article for each category.
• Output in the catalog/categories, search, in various modules, on the manufacturer’s page, in promotional products and etc. in the product cards of the article and those characteristics/attributes that are filled in for the product category.
• Displaying the article before or aftercharacteristics.
• Display the article from the Model (Product Code) or Article field.
• Adjust the number of displayed characteristics.
• On the category page after the description, display the names and values ​​of the characteristics that are filled in for this category. It can be useful for indicating some ranges, general values for all products of a given category.
• In the catalog and modules, replace the characteristic values in product cards with those filled in for the main product category (if the assembly does not support the main category, then this function does not work)

Setting:

•     Go to the administrative panel of your Internetstore.
•     On the Modules/Extensions tab, select Install extensions.
•     Click on the Download button and select the archive category_attributes.ocmod.zip.
•     After the installation process, go to the Modules/Extensions - Modifiers tab and update modifiers.
•     Go to the Modules/Extensions tab - Modules/Extensions.
•     In the drop-down list, select the extension type - Modules.
•     In the list of modules, find the module [AppDevStudio] Characteristics for categories and click on the right on the + button.
•    Click on the module edit button, change the settings and click Save.

Features:
If your assembly supports filling the main product category (OcStore or Opencart CE), then:

• The modules display those characteristics that are indicated for the main product category. The category page always displays those characteristics that are specified for this category.
• The display status of an article is determined by the main category of the product. On the category page, the item display status is determined by the settings of this category.

Else:

• The modules display the characteristics of all categories that are specified for the product. The category page always displays those characteristics that are specified for this category.
• Item output statusdetermined by the positive status of at least one product category. On the category page, the item display status is determined by the settings of this category.

 

The module does not replace standard files.
No IonCube required.

The module was tested on OpenCart / OcStore / Opencart Club edition / Russian assembly 3.0 on a standard template.  
Adaptation due to non-standard patterns and conflicts withother modules for an additional fee.
