Attribute Order

This module for OpenCart 3 and ocStore 3 detects inconsistencies in product characteristics after import and helps correct them: first, it displays the "before → after" plan, saves it after confirmation, and the applied changes can be rolled back.

"Oak", "oak", "OAK"; "10mm" and "10 mm"; "Thickness" and "Thickness, mm" attributes — such duplicates multiply filter items. The values remain in the standard OpenCart attributes; the product shape and display remain unchanged.

Diagnostics and Fixes

• Attribute Overview: Products, Value Variations, Languages, Empty Values, Search, and Sorting.
• Exact Match Suggestions after normalizing spaces, case, Ё/е, decimal separator, and space before unit.
• Normalization of one attribute or all at once. Custom decimal separator rules for attributes: period, comma, "as most common in attribute," "do not change."
• Merge selected variants into the selected spelling for all products.
• Merge attributes: if both values are filled in, you can keep the primary one, replace it, or skip it with the report.
• Remove unused attributes and groups.
• Find and delete orphan records: values of deleted products, attributes, and languages, names without a parent record, attributes without a group — with preview and rollback.
• Change values for one language or for all; Removal of unused and orphaned items is language-independent.

Fill Check and Excel

• Category and Subcategory Check: List of products without required characteristics, links for editing, and CSV export. A set of requirements can be saved for a category.
• Export characteristics to CSV for Excel: Rows are products, columns are attributes of the selected group, or all attributes.
• Uploading a corrected file: Only modified cells are included in the plan. UTF-8 and Windows-1251, delimited by ";", "," and tabs. Unknown columns are shown in the report.

Preview, Log, and Rollback

• The "Was → Will Be" plan is available before application and can be downloaded as a CSV file.
• The value is checked against the preview before writing: any later manager edits are not overwritten.
• Processing occurs in batches. If you close the tab, open the module and click "Continue."
• Rollback via preview: values changed after the task are not affected.
• The log is stored according to the settings: by default, the 20 most recent tasks; those older than 90 days are deleted.

Compatibility with other modules

If "Attribute Icons" are enabled, the preview warns about rules that will no longer be triggered. The settings of the other module are not changed. After editing attributes, filters with their own index, such as OCFilter, must be reindexed separately—the module reminds you of this.

Installation

• Download clear-attributes_oc3_v1.3.0.ocmod.zip via "Extensions → Install Extensions."
• Update modifiers in "Extensions → Modifiers."
• Open "Extensions → Extensions → Modules," set "Attribute Order," and open settings.
• Enable the module. A standalone guide is included.package and opens it with the "Manual" button. Cron is not required: tasks are executed when the module screen is open.

License

No key is needed: the module automatically receives a 72-hour trial license. Once the author confirms the purchase, the license becomes perpetual for the domain. Without a license, applying changes and loading tables are disabled; overview, reports, preview, export, rules, settings, and rolling back previous tasks are available. Test addresses (localhost, *.local, *.test, and IP) work without a license. One license is valid for an OpenCart installation, including multiple stores.

Compatibility and Limitations

Tested on OpenCart 3.0.4.1 (PHP 7.4) and ocStore 3.0.3.9 (PHP 8.2), MySQL 8.0. Works in the admin panel and is independent of the storefront theme. A single OCMOD operation ensures license verification in maintenance mode. OpenCart 4.x is not supported. Imports are CSV, not XLSX; new attributes are not created from the file. Values are not automatically corrected.
