Units of measurement and quantity per package PLUS

This is an extended version of the module Units of measurement and quantity per package for OpenCart/ocStore 3.x, which adds the quantity per package, unit of measurement and area calculator to the product card.

If you only need a simple output of the unit of measurement and quantity per package without a calculator, use the simplified version of the module Units and quantity per package

What does PLUS-version

• Adds the In Package field to the product admin panel. Adds the Unit field. measurements for eachlanguage. Shows the unit of measurement next to the price of the product, for example: 1420 ₽/m². Shows information about the quantity per package in the product card. Adds an area calculator for products that are sold by square meters. Allows you to calculate the area for several rooms. Rounds the total to the whole number of packages.

Area calculator
In the PLUS version, the calculator is enabled separately for each product. In the product card in the admin panel there is a checkbox Display area calculator.

This is important because not all units of measurement need a calculator. For example, for goods in kg, liters or pieces, it may not be included. In this case, the module will work as a regular output of the unit of measurement and quantity in the package.How the calculation works

• The buyer can enter the length and width of the room. Several rooms can be added. The finished area can be specified without entering the length and width. The stock percentage can be selected. The module calculates the total area, the number of packages and the amount. After applying the calculation, the total quantity falls into the product quantity field.

Example of use of
The product states:

• Packaged: 2.8 m²
• Unit. dimensions: m²
• Display area calculator: enabled

The buyer enters the dimensions of the room, the module calculates the required area, addsstock and rounds up the order to the full number of packages.

Compatibility

• OpenCart 3.xocStore 3.x Standard template default

The module does not modify kernel files.

Installation

• Download the module archive via Extensions → Install extensions. Go to Extensions → Modifiers and update the modifiers. Go to Extensions → Extensions → Modules. Install and enable the Packaging Unit PLUS OC3 module.

• Clear modifier cache and template cache if changes do not appear immediately.

Important
The PLUS version is a separate module. Do not install it simultaneously with the simplified version on the same site to avoid conflicts.

IfAn area calculator is not needed, it is better to use the basic version of the module.
